Sliema Wanderers FC will try to continue their proud tradition in this UEFA Europa League live football match against Maccabi Netanya FC where they have been one of the regular Maltese representatives in either of the two main tournaments. Sliema Wanderers FC had to sit out last season as they did not manage to qualify for either since finishing fourth in the league, but they are now returning to the UEFA Europa League and hope to finally make it past their first round for only the second time in their club history. The last time they managed to do that was in the old UEFA Cup during the 1996/97 season where they beat Georgia’s Zestaponi before succumbing to Odense of Denmark in the second qualifying round. Sliema Wanderers FC will be looking to beat their Israeli counterparts tonight.

Maccabi Netanya FC could finally get to the next round of this live UEFA Europa League football match against Sliema Wanderers FC for the first time in three seasons after the narrow exit they suffered last season. Maccabi Netanya FC qualified for this UEFA Europa League after being led by the legendary German captain Lothar Matthaus for last season when they finished fourth in the Israeli Premier League. The German will no longer be their manager in this game as he has since been replaced by Nati Azaria. But they will continue to be strong challengers and should be able to beat their Maltese opponents with relative comfort.

Sliema Wanderers FC should be able to get a good result in this UEFA Europa League live streaming football match against Maccabi Netanya FC but only in this game at home. They will probably have to contemplate the real probability of losing in the return leg which could be a large one. So Sliema Wanderers FC must try to win by a good number of goals at home.
